This is a very special beach on the island of Fetlar, which is in Shetland. It’s a really normal looking beach at first glance – small pebbles at the water's edge, a sandy strip and then more pebbles and bigger stones further up.
However, start looking closer and there’s an amazing variety of pebbles to be found. I’ll be honest, I changed the contrast slightly to show the colours better on these photos, but it’s the variety of colours that’s the real wonder.
